sir peter blake
Sir Peter Blake is a leading pioneer of the Pop Art movement and his portraits of musicians and film stars have been inspiring legions of admirers since the late 1950s. Blake's iconic collage images define English Pop Art, incorporating a distinctive painterly style with elements taken from glamour pictures, postcards, album covers and advertisements.
His sleeve design for The Beatles album Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was one of his many successes during the sixties and subsequent album covers for the likes of The Who, Ian Dury, Paul Weller and Brian Wilson have proved immensely popular with fans of art and music alike.
Blake's output has incorporated sculpture, engraving and prints and his prolific work rate remains undiminished. RedHouse Originals are delighted to be able to offer a selection of Blake's recent works including the iconic 'Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' limited edition screenprint, specially produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of the album.
