goldie
Goldie earned his name as a graffiti artist in the West Midlands during the early eighties. His artwork around Birmingham and Wolverhampton was featured heavily in Afrikaa Bambaataa's feature film documentary 'Bombing'. He is also featured in 'Spraycan Art' by Henry Chalfant and James Prigoff, which contains several examples of his street work.
Further to being one of the UK's most influential original graffiti writers Goldie has had international success as a Drum and Bass DJ, producer and actor. He has clocked up over 2.5 million record sales and his film credits include the James Bond film The World is Not Enough and Guy Ritchie's Snatch.
A legendary figure and leading pioneer within the urban art movement, Goldie's recent exhibitions 'Love Over Gold' in London and 'Babylon Academy' in Berlin have proved overwhelmingly successful. His work will also be featured in 'Project One: Icons' at 108 Fine Art. Auction houses are now requesting his work and the future looks very bright for Goldie
