Born in Chicago, Edy Ferguson lives and works in New York and London. She uses a variety of mixed media including film installation, painting, photography, collage, and performance.
Her work uses iconic imagery from both high and low culture, inviting the viewer to question the power and purpose of art and highlighting the coexistence of multiple and contradictory points of view in our experience of reality.
Ferguson has exhibited internationally in Europe, South America, and across the US. Solo exhibitions include a retrospective at the Centre d'Arte Contemporain in Geneva and the Benaki Museum in Athens. Her work was included in the 2nd Mardin Biennial; Wiener Art Foundation, Vienna; Onassis Cultural Center, Athens; and Centre for Contemporary Art (CoCA), Torun. Her work is also help in numerous distinguished public collections including the George Economou Collection, Athens and Museo de Arte Acarigua-Araure (MAAA), Portuguesa, Venezuela.
