‘He Wore Dreams around Unkind Faces” An Exhibition by Noel Fielding

Harrogate Theatre & RedHouse Originals Gallery, Oxford Street, Harrogate HG1 1QF & 15 Cheltenham Mount, Harrogate HG1 1DW

Date: October 2015

RedHouse Originals Gallery and Harrogate Theatre are delighted to present an exhibition by artist and comedian by Noel Fielding. This special collection of original watercolour paintings is taken from the recent series ‘He Wore Dreams around Unkind Faces’, unveiled earlier this year at the Royal Albert Hall. The exhibitions was a unique event for the historic London venue and saw the likes of Damien Hirst, amongst others purchasing Fielding’s paintings.

After training at Croydon Art College, Fielding went on to create many of the make up and costume designs for the Mighty Boosh, as well as providing the animated segments and creating and appearing as Vince Noir. His first solo exhibition in 2008 ‘Psychedelic Dreams of The Jelly Fox’ was a sell out success and led to support from collectors including Keith Tyson and Ringo Starr. He exhibited the video installation for ‘The Jelly Fox’ at the Saatchi Gallery in 2012 and the characters went on to feature in the ‘Luxury Comedy’ series; devised by Fielding and Nigel Coan with music composed by Serge Pizzorno of Kasabian.
