RedHouse Originals Gallery is proud to present ‘Life & Death’; a group of five recent works by internationally renowned musician and fine artist Goldie. This will include a limited number of exclusive pieces set to go on public display for the first time.
In an exhilarating display of dynamic printmaking and painting, ‘Life & Death’ features five new images combining visually seductive imagery with explorations of the fundamental human connection and artistic expression of the ancient tribes of Africa, Asia and America. These beautiful, earnest creations take us back to Goldie's early artistic expressions; stark, unspoken feelings that resonate deep within yet impossible to verbalise. Each work is created with ‘Meraki’ - the purest of emotions - telling a story and arousing feelings as old as the journey of our souls.
The unveiling of the ‘Life and Death’ collection at RedHouse follows hot on the heels of the artist’s ‘Lostribes’ exhibition at Mead Carney, London in November 2013. The show opened to commercial and critical acclaim with the majority of the collection selling immediately at the exhibition preview where guests included Ian Brown, Plan B, Rio Ferdinand, Don Letts and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols.
RedHouse will dedicate a room of the gallery to these stunning pieces which will be on display in Harrogate from Saturday 1st March - 29th March 2014.
The gallery would like to thank Goldie and Eddie Lock for their kind cooperation.
