Online Exhibition
Danny Larsen: Box of Mysteries
"Look What I Found..."
We are delighted to announce Box of Mysteries, an online exhibition by Danny Larsen showcasing rare artworks discovered during the artist’s recent studio move.
The mysterious folio contains archive editions and unique works on paper created over the last decade. Some of these works have never been seen before.
“As I was about to change studios earlier this year, I discovered a home-made wooden box I assumed contained an assortment of shipping materials. As I lifted off the top layer of silk paper I was surprised to discover that it contained a bunch of prints I had completely forgotten about. When I shipped prints myself, I was constantly worried that the artwork would get damaged in transit, so I would save a few in case I had to replace any and put them aside. The same happened with prints that would have traces from me handling them, as I used to do every part of the process myself, any prints with small creases or scuffs ended up in this box as well. As the years went by, and I didn’t handle shipping myself anymore, I forgot all about these – they were stowed away in a corner together with other boxes, shipping tubes, bubblewrap and silk paper.“

The collection consists of 29 pieces including the highly sought-after limited editions Tåkestrå and It Came With Sunlight, as well as the previously unreleased duplo prints Little Rad Riding Hood and Howling Wolf.
Box of Mysteries will launch at 12:00 GMT / 13:00 CET on Friday 15th November exclusively at RedHouse.
